What are Tags, and how to use them?

Service Tags are a simple but powerful tool in Paysley’s My Calendar that help you organize, manage, and communicate appointment details more effectively.

What Are Service Tags?

Service Tags are customizable labels you can attach to appointments to describe what the appointment is about. This could include:

  • The type of service being offered
  • Products or Services involved
  • Any special notes or categories (e.g. “Consultation”, “Installation”, “Product Demo”)

These tags make it easy to identify appointments at a glance, prepare in advance, and ensure everyone on your team is on the same page.

How to Set Up and Use Tags

You can add and manage tags in two ways:

1. From the My Calendar Settings:

  • Go to Settings in the My Calendar section.
  • Find the “Service Tags” area.
  • Click “Edit” to create new tags.
  • Give each tag a clear, descriptive name (e.g. “AC Service”, “New Client”, “Golf Club Delivery”).
  • Save your changes—your tags will now be available to use in all appointments.

2. While Creating or Editing an Appointment:

  • During the appointment creation flow, look for the “Services” section.
  • You can choose from existing tags or create a new one on the spot.
  • Simply type and hit Enter to create a new tag if needed.

Why Use Service Tags?

Using Service Tags helps you:

  • Quickly identify the purpose of each appointment
  • Prepare the right materials or products ahead of time
  • Communicate clearly with staff about what to expect
  • Keep your calendar organized and easy to manage

Example Use Cases

  • Demo Days at golf clubs? Tag it “Demo Event” + “Golf Clubs”
  • On-site installation? Tag it “Install” + the product involved
  • New customer consultation? Use tags like “New Client” + “Consult”
